Caring and Support MinistriesBook Discussion GroupAdults meet 9:30-11:00 am, 3rd Saturday of the month at the church library. Discuss book of the month including fiction, nonfiction, memoirs, and biographies. Books for future months are listed in the Mission Bell, Kiosk. Church Library GroupRead to children monthly in SOS Sunday School, to housebound individuals, and staff the library cart between church services. Drum CircleMeet 2:00-5:00 pm Sundays. No music experience needed, drums provided. Health Ministry-Leah EmersonEncouraging and promoting whole person health and wholeness. Healthcare events for congregation and community. Stephen MinistriesOne-on-one caring ministry where individuals experiencing life crises are paired up with a trained Stephen Minister. Training provided every other year.
Children and Family Ministries Jamie Fouret, Director of Christian Education, (949) 831-8820 ext. 200 As a supplement to the family, we minister to provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment for children so that we can lead children to know the love of Jesus, to grow to be like Jesus, to show the love of Jesus in their daily life. Sonshine on Sundays-An age appropriate program where children age 3-4th grade learn fundamental Bible stories in a joyful and relevant way. Available at both the 8:30 and 10 services. Vacation Bible School-A week long summer program which teaches children ages 4 years through 5th grade of God’s love in a fun, camp-like setting. Nursery-A qualified nursery attendant is available at both the 8:30 and 10 services to take care of all children age newborn to potty trained. Club 56-A small group program intended for children in grades 5 and 6 to learn about the Lord and each other in a safe and creative environment. Meeting times are on the second and fourth Sunday.Family Ministry/Family Nights-Wednesday evenings begin with dinner for the family from 6:30-7:00 pm in the Founders Hall followed by a Children’s Bible Study in the Founders Hall and a parent group study in the Library from 7:00-8:00 pm. Nursery care is available. Family camps and winter and summer camps for children planned throughout the year.
Education Adult Education: Bible Study and Leadership Development-Please call the church office for current schedule and topics. Studies typically are held Tuesday mornings, Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Small Group Bible Studies-Groups of approximately 10-12 members who meet on a regular basis in each other’s homes for Bible study and fellowship. Groups also serve and participate in outreach.

Music Deb McGowan, Director of Music Ministries, (949) 831-8820, ext. 202 Bell Choirs: Praise Ringers Adult Bell Choir (meets every Monday at 7:15pm), Spirit Ringers Jr./Sr. High School Bell Choir (meets every Wednesday at 4:00 pm), Joyful Sound Ringers Childrens Bell Choir (meets every Wednesday at 5:00 pm) Choirs: Chancel Choir (meets every Thursday at 7:30pm), Men’s, Women’s and Intergenerational Choirs (meeting occasionally for special services), Youth, Children’s Choirs and Sing and Shout Club (musical opportunities for children aged preschool through high school, meet on Wednesday afternoons, call the church office for schedule), Praise Band (meets every Thursday at 6pm, sings at 10am service on Sundays) RAZ MA TAZZ/A summer Music Camp-Raz Ma Tazz is an exciting adventure in music using singing, movement, hand bell and chime ringing, and music enrichment. OutreachComforting CoversMeet 9:00 am 1st Thursday of the month in Founders Hall. Do not need quilting experience. Make quilts for various organizations such as orphanages. Habitat for Humanity Working with Orange County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity to help fundraise and build homes for low income families in the area. Saddleback Community Outreach1st Sunday of month drop box located at church to drop off non-perishable food and unused hotel sized tooth paste, tooth brushes, soap, lotions, and cosmetics. Bags are made up and given to those in need through SCO. Support Groups—Al-Anon, AA-Outside organizations which meet weekly at the church to provide support to those experiencing personal struggles with alcoholism. Al-Anon meets Fridays at 12:30pm in the Founders Hall. AA meets Fridays at 7:30pm in the Library.
PrayerWeekly Prayer Group, Prayer ChainMeet between church services in church library. Can leave requests for prayer and can pray for those in need. Please contact the office with prayer requests during the week.
Women’s Ministries Mom’s of Mission, Mother’s of young children who meet monthly for fellowship, outings, prayer and study. Women of the Word-Margaret Fisher, Women’s Bible study group which meets weekly on Wednesday mornings at 9:15am from September through June for study, prayer and fellowship. Women’s Circle Groups-Please contact the church office (949) 831-8820 Two separate women’s circle groups meet once a month in each others homes for study, prayer and fellowship. MOPS- MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. Call Office for more information. www.MOPS.org
Youth Ministry The MLC Youth Ministry program exists to change the lives of fifth through twelfth grade students and their families through Jesus Christ. All students will be given opportunities to learn about Jesus Christ and how to develop a relationship with him, learn about their spiritual gifts and use them to serve others, and have fun in a safe, loving environment. Leadership Team-The student leadership training program is a 6 month program that prepares both Junior High and High School students for leadership positions in the church and community. After the training program, students are commissioned as leaders and given assigned leadership roles in the church and community. Confirmation /Junior High Group--For 7th/8th grade students. Meets every Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm for dinner, Confirmation class and games. Senior High Group-Meets every Sunday at 6:30-8:30 pm in the Youth Room. Camps/Retreats-The Junior High and High School ministries attend annual camps and retreats. For more information contact the church office. Ushering
